How and why?

The questions that seem foremost on everyone's mind is how and why can we run a raffle to give away a week in Cancun?

First off, the how. We are owner's at the resort company, in other words we own vacation weeks. (Think timeshare.) As owner's we get discounts, ocean view rooms, upgrades, and many extra perks! We can also allow others to use our weeks and extras.

Second, the why. We can't go this year and we have too many weeks. It's selfish really to keep it all to ourselves, we can never use them all! However, it's not cheap to go. Is it an excellent deal and worth every penny. Just not cheap. So, instead of trying to convince a single person to drop a couple thousand dollars we are trying to convince a few dozen people to drop $15. It's not guaranteed that you will win, but you have a pretty good shot because our raffle is small.

Also, if you decide that you want to go and don't want to take a chance on the raffle, we can do that too.

Official Rules Page is Up!

The official rules page has been posted! So go ahead and please check it out! Note that we have also provided an email address, adventuretropical@gmail.com, for specific questions. Of course general questions can be left in the comments section of any post and we will get back to you.

Raffle tickets are $15 and anyone can purchase as many as they like. The trip that you win is for 2 people, however if you have additional travelers, you can purchase additional (all-inclusive) occupancies for them.

June 15th, 2012 the winner will be announced here on the blog! Of course we will get in contact with that person directly as well. So stay tuned and let your friends know about the raffle!

Introduction

Hello!

Chances are you have reached this blog because you are interested in purchasing or have already purchased raffle tickets to win a trip to Cancun. First off, let me wish you luck! The above picture was taken from a balcony of one of the resorts that you can stay at, this is where we stay most often. It's not the biggest or fanciest resort available but it has fantastic amenities, great rooms all with an ocean view, easy access to the beach and pools from any room, and it is very centrally located in Cancun.

This is our first post here on the blog and over the next few days a great deal will be put up including our official rules page. After that there will be a post put up about once a week about Cancun activities and updates on the raffle. If you sign up for email updates (upper right hand corner) you will be notified each time new information goes up. On that note, we are real people (nicknamed The Adventurer's) running this raffle and want to assure you that we will never sell or give away your contact information. I hate it when that happens to me and would never do it to you!
